All about FourTherapy

Reclaim Confidence, Embrace Comfort: Transform with Fourtherapy!

My name is Jennie Hughes and I am the founder of FourTherapy.

FourTherapy has been created to unite the four specialities of my profession, including women's health physiotherapy, men's health physiotherapy, acupuncture and Pilates.

I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2013 with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree. After advancing my skills to become a senior musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist, I soon realised my passion lay with pelvic health physiotherapy, and I haven't looked back since.

The majority of my experience has been in the NHS with over a year and a half also spent in the private sector.

In 2020, I decided to become self-employed and now work in four locations across South-West and central London, treating pelvic health conditions and teaching Pilates.

I am passionate about treating pelvic floor dysfunctions in both women and men. I have experience in treating urinary and bowel continence issues, overactive bladders, prolapse, ante-natal and post-natal concerns, perineal tears, scar massage (tears and C-section) and pre or post prostatectomies.

I am also trained in treating more specialist conditions, such as sexual dysfunction, bladder pain syndrome (BPS), chronic pelvic pain (CPP), vulvodynia or vaginismus and painful sex.

I treat these through education and advice, manual therapy, exercises, myofascial release techniques, stretches and acupuncture (if required).

My approach- Your Pathway to Peak Pelvic Health!

My approach is intentionally patient-centred and bespoke, working together with my patients to optimise their outcomes, by targeting treatments to achieve their individual goals and functional requirements.

I also teach Pilates through private 1:1 sessions. My interest in Pilates came from my MSK physiotherapy background, when I used to turn to Pilates-based exercises to help patients in their rehabilitation and recovery from injuries.

I quickly saw the benefits of Pilates on patients' strength, posture, balance and general well-being. This, combined with my pelvic health experience, encouraged me to start teaching ante-natal and post-natal Pilates.

I am an affiliate member of the Association of Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapist (POGP) and Pelviva, a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and I am registered with the Health & Care Professionals Council (HCPC).

I like to keep up to date with the most recent research and evidence by attending courses, reading and contributing to pelvic health forums.

Thank you for visiting my website, I hope you find what you are looking for. Please take a look around, book in for an appointment or join me on the mat. If any questions arise,  feel free to get in contact and ask.
